oliverH 0
Hello everyone, I just arrived in Japan and would like to go snowboarding in the Nagano area, as it is not so far from Tokyo where I'm staying. Is Nagano any good for snowboarding these days and if yes, which resort is good and also easy to reach by shinkansen? If not what else can you recommend at this time of the season? Would be great if someone could give me a hint. Other than that: HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!! O.
Siren 0
Happy new year everyone! I haven't been to Nagano yet but according to db (not sure about his latest handle) and Fattwins Tsugaike looks pretty good at the moment.
SimonWB 0
Was in Nagano a couple of weeks ago at Tsugaike and Iwadake. Both decent resorts and relatively close to Hakuba Station, I think the closest one is Hakuba 47 though.
enderzero 0
BTW, no where in Nagano is easily accessed by shinkansen. Your best bet is taking a bus from Nagano-eki to Hakuba. The bus drops you off near the resorts. For shink-skiing you have to head to Niigata.
Fattwins 0
Ender when you pushing to niseko? Hakuba nigata right now the coverage is fine but its more like spring out there than winter. What do you want to ride and then I can help you decide.
