Had one four years ago, which cleared up with antibiotics in a few days but got another one recently that won't go away. They cut my eardrum open to drain it and I'm on my second course of antibiotics at the moment and my ear is not improving. WTF??? Link to post Share on other sites

gerard 6 Posted December 21, 2006 Author Share Posted December 21, 2006 Inner ear infection, now spread to outer ear too. It seemed to start when landing in an airplane on a recent trip. That’s how it happened four years ago too. I’ll spare you the gorey details but I’ll say this… Don’t let the doctor cut your eardrum open unless it’s absolutely necessary because aside from being more painful than anything I can remember, it seems to open the door to other long lasting complications.
