I've been invited by my American neighbour to a Thanksgiving party, and I'm torn between going in high dudgeon that I should be required to celebrate the mutinuous succession and devolution of large parts of the British population, or going in a spirit of humble thankfullness that I at least wasn't involved.

I'm really not all that fond of tinned pumpkin pie either...

go and celebrate your right to gluttony.

the rites, reasons, and pageantry to this and the christmas celebration have long since morphed into something much different from their intended purposes. at best, go and celebrate a good meal and good drink with good friends. (i am presuming all of these things will indeed be good. however, if any of them are even mildly sub par, raise hell)
