So who is gonna police them??

The UN? Yeah right - the USA and the remainder of the so-called 'Security Council' run the UN.

Anyway, ineffectual, jobs for the boy and US puppet Kofi baby couldn't lie straight in bed.

DU is a silent long-term killer = genocide. Therefore, in a real sense, those using DU are contravening a UN resolution - go figure!

They are not in this war to be nice, they are in it to win. America needs to conquer the Arab world. It is that simple. DU bombs will help them do what they need to do, so to will real nukes. If it were not for tactical nukes, America would have no chance of beating their enemies in the Middle East. Even with nuclear weapons, America will not beat Islam, but it will control their oil. It isn't just America any way, pretty much every Anglo Saxon nation quietly supports what America is doing on their behalf. The chess pieces were placed a while ago and everyone chose their sides. Now the war has stepped into second gear and will now play itself out. America will win and 'fallout' will be become an everyday term. Meanwhile, China India and Russia are watching and moving their pieces as well.

Depleted uranium is very dense. It is used in projectile heads because it is very effective at penetrating armour/reinforced concrete etc.

It is moderately radioactive, but highly toxic, plentiful and much cheaper than tungsten.

To answer your question, Bosnia and Iraq.

There's a long article here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22depleted_uranium%22

Basically, depleted uranium is the relatively non radioactive U238 waste that is left over after radioactive U235 is removed. As natural uranium is about 99.3% U238 and 0.7% U235, there's an awful lot of it about. The US, for example has about 500,000 tonnes of it stored as low level nuclear waste.

It is easy to shape and alloy with other metals, and because of its density it can form a projectile with a high mass relative to its diameter. This makes it useful for penetrating armour. It also burns, so these projectiles are incendiary as well as armour piercing.

It has been used in various calibre projectiles, from 20mm machine guns to 120mm cannons. It is also used in tank armour.

We know these rounds have been used in the Balkans and Iraq, but as the Russians, Israelis and lots of other countries produce this type of ammunition, there's no way of knowing where else.
