Having been to Hakauba over new years I noticed that, eventhough the boarding was wicked, the nightlife was erhhh poor.... So Im calling on all you experienced folks for a bit of advice. Where is good for boarding AND nightlife ?

I have a friend coming over from the UK and dont want to let the boy down....

cheers all

Apparently there was a huge party on New Years eve up at Happo opposite Uncle Stevens. I had a belter of a night at Tracks so I can only rely on 2nd hand endorsements from others who said it was great. On Jan 2nd I had a great night at Snowed Inn and on the 5th I went to a Drum n Bass night at the club underneath Tracks-not a huge crowd but phat tunes nonetheless. I think the problem in Hakuba is getting the info and getting to the venue. Also sometimes it's just quiet, and at the end of the day it's not like being in the city.

If you're after any better apres ski I would imagine Niseko is the only place to rival Hakuba.

Most resorts have lots of drink machines all over the place, you know.....coke, sprite, canned coffer (both hot and cold)! A dream selection!
