me jane 0
Buy the adapter plugs before you come - the airport is the easiest place. Transformers are pretty heavy especially for high wattage appliances. You can buy transformers for everything in a store called Tokyu Hands in Japan. There are loads of Tokyu Hands in Tokyo & Yokohama but I'm not sure about other cities. Where are you going to be based? As mentioned above with your pc, lots of appliances (e.g. digital cameras)have built in transformers so read the plug before you connect it. Don't connect a built-in transformer to an external transformer - I tried doing that once when I forgot the basic adapter plug for my laptop. My computer had convulsions. It would be good to bring a multi plug extension cable or two and put the adaptors and/or tranformers at the end of those.
