me jane 0
Seems to be a bit of a panic in South Wales at the mo. First snow in 10 years or something. Ten whole cms so lots of schools are shut. Can't go outside in those conditions
its-a-clock 0
Some crash in Cornwall was on the news. 2cm and the UK comes to a standstill right? Schoolkids love it, what a waste on a weekend! Are the Scotland resorts getting a dump?
big-will 7
I remember some snowy days when I was a kid (snowy being 2cm+!) and patiently waiting early morning to hear if school had been cancelled. It was such a great feeling if it was.
Weegeoff 0
I see this thread lasted as long as the snow in the UK.
me jane 0
I remember in somthing like 1982 we had loads of snow. No school for about 2 weeks. Just went sleding every day. I remember my dad & all his 4x4 club mates driving all the old people to hospital bacause the ambulances couldn't get around. My mum spent the time worring about food & feeding all the birds in the garden.
