I met a great pension owner there on my last trip who was the technical director of the Japanese youth cross country team and we got smashed and ate lots of good okonomiyaki (sp?). It's amazing how much nihongo you know once you are really drunk. What are those floaties in the onsens though Accidently boarded down the skiers only course up there much to the shock of several old dudes relaxing on side of the course having a fag. I was flying so by the time the very old ski patrol guy caught up with me at the lift he was puffing so hard he could hardly squeeze out his 'dame!!!'.
