He compares them to driving a 71' Cadillac with the original shocks. Basically too soft and lazy to turn. sounds like my ex girlfriend. What? Fat and lazy? yeah fat and lazy, girls get comfortable like that in a relationship after a while.

  4. awwwh crap, we've had about 30 womens items in a row.... cmon, lets get some cool stuff!
  5. Salomon Equipe 10 2V Pilot Race Alpine Ski, $280 right now! 71% Off, Regularly $997.95 and no, I don't work for SAC, but if anyone wants to offer me a job?...
  6. ok, so I've got an update from JAL, it's 20kgs luggage all inclusive, and 10KGS for carry on, we just got another 5KGS! OH JOY! Now I can take both boots.... I'm still wearing my helmet on the plane.
  7. Quote: Originally posted by SirJibAlot: is that domestic only? we're talking about international, but as far as I understand my GF rang up and asked about domestic (seeing we have to connect from Narita to Sapporo) and it's still 20KGS.
  8. I've just been thinking. They should charge fat people more to fly? Seems only fair using this method of calculating weight and baggage?
  9. I've got some Elan mantis M12's, one helluva good freeride ski. Plus I don't see why I should have to rent? Thursday's right, I'm going to be pushing it to make all my stuff weigh under 20kg's, but I do like a challenge.

  11. My girlfriend is a travel agent, and she got the same info. Mind you it seems that MOOSH.com.au forums have been discussing the same thing, and per usual there is no rhyme or reason to when JAL sticks to this rule, and when they don't. http://forum.ski.com.au/ultimate/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=4;t=005600

  13. Just so you know, and others don't get caught. JAL has a 20KG limit. So it's all your clothes and all your stuff to the limit of 20KGs and then anything over, WHAM! Excess fees applies. So weigh your stuff carefully, and also make sure your carry on luggage of max 5KGS is close to 5KGS and make it count! In case you want more info, check here CLICK HERE! Pretty annoyed about this, but if they're going to limit my baggage and try to get me to pay excess, then I might as well be creative. I think I'll wear my helmet on the plane, "hey it looks like a hat, and it's a part of
  14. The North Face Pivotal 75 Backpack - 4600 cu in Medium only. $157 bux
  15. Please see my EDIT. Fattwins knows better than i do. Previous comments about Furano, Niseko, retracted. Go to Hakuba. Blah blah blah having a crap day so who cares any ways?
  16. Make sure you buy some steezy clothing and board, and you'll be fine. All jokes aside, when you said "without advice" I would say this is your major problem. Next time, get some lessons, they're the only way to progress. In the meantime, read this and then get lessons to make practical sense of it all. http://www.ehow.com/how_6944_carve-turn-snowboard.html
  17. Boots is an Aussie, so USA is a fairly long trip compared to Japan, plus the exchange rate is much better in Japan than USA. and flights to USA are more expensive than Japan. EDIT: Boots, go to Hakuba.
  18. he means 2 watts, the higher the watt, the better the range. It goes up to 5 watt before you need a licence. (please correct me if I'm wrong)
  19. sounds like it's all too much trouble...either from the GF (whip crack! haha), or the constant chatter or it being slightly illegal.
  20. this link to a previous post and the link within that says you can't, unless I'm reading it wrong? http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/6886.html#000000 http://www.hokkaido-bt.go.jp/2006/Englishfrg.htm
  21. thanks CB did that, and it looks like you're not allowed to use them in Niseko? Is that right? I was also looking for a more recent response seeing technology changes so fast. and also that rules might have changed... Thanks Thurs, maybe I don't want one, .
  22. I was surfing the knowledge bank over at Moosh.com.au and someone raised an interesting point about UHF radios. Now I'm not being mean to my GF, but she's got the worlds worst sense of direction, so a new ski field like Niseko in a foreign country, would be even more troublesome. One response in the thread rang very true... MOOSH.COM.AU - Two way radios Quote: My girlfriend and i picked up some motorola radios in the states a couple of months ago. I got tired of saying just ski down that run we just did only to get to the bottom to find that she was not there an
  23. they don't ship Oakley outside the USA, mind you I'm not that upset, seeing it's neon orange?! You'd have to be steezier than Steve McQueen to wear them.
  24. marmot ultimates! I wanted those, but couldn't afford them. maybe next time..
  25. Quote: Originally posted by AK 77: It SAYS they are for work around resort on the packaging, but the palm leather feels more like its for stroking babies with. The leather is like soft liquorice. To add to the weight and warmth of these gloves I bought some nifty Outdoor Research power stretch liners for my gloves, no chance of being col
