I was looking at a report on BBC and there was one ski resort in Austria that had snow last year but has sheep grazing at the same time this year. Crazy.

I bought ipod speakers from a maker called Rockridge, they cost 10k and were really good. It can be played really loud. Size is not minute but it'll do!
I am just after seeing it comes in black. Would have bought that one!!! Agghhhhh. Got a black ipod.

Anyone try the adidas sports glasses with optical inserts.
I am trying to get contacts here so I can use sunglasses or goggles, but of course Japanese eyes are different and the makers cannot make contacts for westerners, sorry I mean foreigners. Is this true? It seemed like BS to me!

Opium was legal in the 19C and eventually it was banned due to the addictive nature of it. If you take the proportion of people who drink compared to the amount that are addicted, then I think you will find it is a small percentage. I think the same would not be true for opiates et al. Whether drugs like hash should be legalised or not is an interesting debate, but most important is the message it sends to young impressionable people. If people believe drugs are ok, well you could waste a generation. The drug laws, in my opinion, are there to protect the more vunerable people in society. In Dublin there are people of 13 years old who are on heroin. Terrible.
I am reading Howard Marks' book at the moment. He was trying to justify the importing of 'harmless hash' into different countries. The issue is that there are other people who gain capital from the sale of drugs to import other drugs. It is a terrible cycle. We have enough issues with alcohol and tobacco, so why add to them.
Interestingly I was having this same converstation last night.

Yea I was working this summer in Germany during the WC. I have lived in Germany for 3 years so I was supporting them as I have many German friends. Anyways the crack was mighty, drink was flowing and there were plenty of pics. Around the same time I was asking if I could come back to Japan on secondment. I had worked in Japan for 5 months at that stage and knew 2 lads over here. One was called Phil, my boss was called Phil. So I sent on photos of me absolutely out of my tree at some german match with my face painted. The body of the text was ok THANK GOD cos I normally take a quip at someone just for the crack. When he sent me back an email asking for more photos I nearly died. I thought sure he wouldnt send this drunkard back to Japan. But he did....it was also his second week in the company!
I am sure there are worse stories out there.

It seems to me that Japan is about presentation i.e. showing on the outside what is not on the inside. Maybe some people are so insecure they need make up! Maybe it is just habit, and maybe we shouldn't judge what other people do! It is, of course, their face!!
Lastly I am not saying that people who wear make up are insecure! Please do not take offence ladies! I think women without make up look better. A lot of guys seem to agree on that!!

Trivium - The Crusade - some amazing songs but there are one or 2 dodgy enough ones. The ones that are good are class.
Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm - Kirk Kammet from Metallica called them an absurd band and he was correct. Still one of my favourite albums and if you like ridiculously long guitar solos, then they are the boys.
Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage - again as mentioned before.

Man I got so locked yesterday. I drank 2 bottles of wine in about an hour. Then back to Uts and more beer. Woke up this morning with all my clothes on and all the lights on in my apartment! Strange! Ashikaga was good crack!!

Hey for those that are beginners at Japanese like myself try this website it has been recommended to me a few times. Appartently it is good. Cant download them to your Ipod and listen on the go.

Also, how do the artifical snow machines work? Do they blow moisture over cold coils to make snow? May sound like a dumb question.

Rafa needs to play Stevie in the center. It doesnt make sense to use him on the wing. If we win today against Middlesboro and stevie plays in the center he cannot put him on the wing. He is better off putting someone like Zenden on the wing. Silly!! Gerrard wont leave the club. He couldnt after all that stuff with Chelsea. It has just been a bad start to the season! Again! Also, all of our front line has changed again => we are not scoring goals!!!

Cool! I am looking forward to getting it! It would be great to have a car and just belt away somewhere for the day. I think I am getting 16' or 17' rims. Do you think I need chains, I will probably be driving to Haks or Naeba a good bit over the winter. With 2WD I dunno if it will take the heavy mid winter conditions.
I am not a mental driver (well most of the time) so I will take it handy. A roadster with a ski rack that would be some site.
The strangest thing I ever saw was back in Ireland on a motorway about 10 years ago. There was this dude driving down the road in an old Citroen 2CV with the roof rolled back and a couch stuck down inside the car.

Good one! Although I cannot condone that! I drove the EVO V on a test track and it was b1tch to go! Also tried the RX8 which was nice. Had it on low slip tiles trying to drift. Man it was hard!!!

Unfortunately I would have to go for the 23S model for the manual or the 15F which seems gutless at 114PS. So I think I will have to deal with it. It has the tip tronic thing so it is not so bad.

I am beginning to learn Japanese! I am really enjoying it but wanna get up to speed really quickly. Has anyone any tips? I learned German a few years back and that was hard, but I am getting the feeling this is a whole new ball game.
The other night I was telling a girl in a bar that I wanted to ride my cat to work. She asked me what kind of cat and I said a Mazda Axela, it was only then she got worried and I found out my friend "misheard" me. It was funny though.
