  1. Well the subject kind of says it, I'm here (Japan) on a pre-college visa, and apparently am allowed to work 4 hours per day. Other than college students as far as I know I'm not allowed to work 8 hours a day during holidays. But does Immigration care if I do anyway? What do you think? And what would happen if they cared... Thanks, /awashi
  2. Asked about genki-go at the information office today and they didn't know about it.
  3. Got boots (Burton Ruler 26.5), pants and a jacket there, so many snow shops.... was amazed (am kind of an country bumpkin though so your mileage may vary). Will rent boards the first week to find out what I like.
  4. bbaka, thanks, will try to find DOH tomorrow Going to Ochanomizu today which is supposed to have a lot of snow gear stores as well.
  5. I will if it doesn`t work with ten posts, will get there fairly quickly. Bindings and boots probably don`t get as hefty price cuts do they. Boots I have to try on first and buy locally anyway, but if you find proper bindings lying around there, I`d be interested as well.
  6. Bummer, am going to post more Which Boards do you have in the 35000-45000 range? You can email me at ohlookyspam@nanikore.org Don`t want to go no-name Thanks!
  7. Sorry to barge in, am looking for a nice last years board at around 155 to 160cm (I`m 182cm and weigh in around 75kg). It should probably be a bit on the stiff side as well since I`m a beginner. Do you have one that fits the description? Price I`m not sure about, will be boarding for about a month, so I hope to evolve a bit during that time, so maybe ~20000-~30000? Thanks
  8. I guess my thread didn't survive the downtime, next try. Arrived in Kyoto three days ago and am still acclimating but thought I'd plan my winter early. Have accomodation until the 21st december. After that depending on the weather I either want to go boarding or spend a month in Tokyo and then go boarding. I'm okay at skiing (but didn't really go very often) and it's my first time on a snow board, so beginner slopes would be a good start. Which would be the best location respectively? I figure it's Hakuba from Kyoto (eyeing fattwins)? Have about two months to spend on sliding down
  9. Will be in Japan this winter and am definately planning on taking a shitload of photos. Can get a Konica Minolta Dimage A2 for about 250EUR. Camera GET or should I rather wait until I get there and buy new?
