there are so many in Europe, specially in the french alps; there are many many good ones if there is snow (not much now), if not, choose the highest such as val thorens or val d'isere/tignes; if yes, you have smaller resorts with very nice atmosphere (clubs..); then, for the ride, it depends if you do ski or snowboarding, freeriding or freestyle, etc etc!

well 4 hours is good also:) anyway, no more seats on flights to tokyo nor hokkaido for my vacations during chinese new years; but still interested for your opinions for a next trip, thanks gamera

Hello everybody! I am looking for your tips and opinions about good resorts in Japan; Actually i live in China so i can fly easily to tokyo or hokkaido; i am looking for a resort not too far (around 3 hrs max) from an airport, nice and with good slopes for carving or freeriding; within resorts, if you know good places (friendly) to stay at, please share your knowledge as well! Thanks

first time on skies at the age of 3 untill 17, then i switched to snowboarding at 18 because i was getting bored and because there were not enough snow to ski on red, black slopes or 'off piste'; i switched 11 years ago
