  2. Howdy, I'm doing an anthropological essay for uni on Japanese Adolescence, i've done a fair bit of reading but seems im not in Japan i'd like to get some suggestions and oppions to make sure i'm on track. The question is... How has this cultural group (japan) been affected by social change, in relation to the topic(adolescence) you have chosen? So basically i have to list the changes in Japanese adolescence, and social factors may influence this. I've found heaps on schooling, cram schools, youth violence, rebelling, school refusal, materialism, consumerism. The social changes m
  3. Ocean that is so weird! Is it a lucid dream or out of your control? Sounds like dreams kids have before they wet the bed!
  4. C:\Documents and Settings\?????\My Documents\My Music\iTunes Music will be in your "My music" folder as above (not sure if this is relevant) If all your music was .wma files then iTunes would have converted them to .acc or whatever file they use and windows media player can't recognize that good luck!

  7. getting one of these passes might save me a few bucks, but i'll let someone who needs it win! i really wish 47 had a 7 day pass or something cause that 5-weekday only pass is screwing me over! it means i have to buy one of them and 2xweekend passes

  12. fair enough, don't have to worry about me stealing property ive still got to save from scratch just to visit hakuba for 10 days are there any real estate companies that do hakuba though? i just want to see what properties look like, and what the average prices are for various properties cheers
  13. i think its good i can't find anything in english about real estate in hakuba! it meants it hasnt been sold out to westerners yet. basically im really interested in land prices, considering how much proprty has inflated recently in niseko, i wonder if the same has will happen (or is happening) in hakuba. it would be my dream to have my first house near a japanese resort
  14. Can anyone direct me to websites about real estate in Hakuba, or any of the other relatively untouched resorts by westerners? Definitely not Niseko, real estate there is sky high! Cheers, Steve

  17. phuket is not a hole, patong is overcrowded yes, but its a bloody big place and we're avoiding the crowds for the quiet beaches and islands
  18. mind due, it never gets that crowed at all from my experience, the slopes do when there are schools at the resort but they just stick to the bottom of the mountain, head up to the top and its not crowded at all!
  19. There would be less people in Feb i'd think cause school holidays finish at the end of Jan in Aus - lots of families go to niseko cause of this, was the deal for us both times our family went. Maybe late feb to keep it safe
  20. I had a look at the Holiday in and they charge per room so per person its only $45 AU a night, which is more down to my level so i'll probably book that. pie-eater - i'm in tokyo 4 nights from the 30th of Jan, then 10 nights in Hakuba, then 1 night in Narita (13th). Then off to Phuket! -steve
  21. thanks guys! both options i'll look into, if we did stay in the terminal it would be for at least 12 hours so not sure about that.. is there anything near the airport to kill time? Cause i could leave Hakuba early, arrive in Nartia early afternoon and spend the day doing something in Narita they stay the night. I've been there twice but at night and have no idea, is it a nice place or just an industrial area or what? thanks again for the help!
