How do I change my language settings?

On the Windows Update Web site, click Change settings.

Select the language that you want to use to view Windows Update, and then click Apply changes now.

When you are asked to confirm the change, do one of the following:

To change your language settings immediately, click OK.

(You will need to review and select updates again.)

To use the new language after installing any updates that you’ve selected, click Cancel.

(The next time you visit Windows Update, your new language setting will be applied.)

Why does Windows Update recommend a language for me to use?

It matches the default language setting for your computer. If you use it, you can view the Web site using the same language as the titles and details of any updates that apply to your computer.

Can I get updates in multiple languages?

Yes. Windows Update automatically detects language settings for each program on your computer. If you use multiple languages, you will be offered updates for each program in the appropriate language.

  2. I don't know if this will work for you.

You need to go to windows update, which will redirect you based on the Ip number you have, since you have a jp ip, it will take you to japanese update, however if you follow this link

    http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

you will get an english page. i can't verify if it will work, since i am using a slightly "incompatible" version of windows ;\)

Alternative: spend 50$ on some really nice and simple editing software

  3. Olbermann has been on a roll lately, just check alternet's videoblog.

i'm getting too tired of accepting what W. can get away with, makes me depressed, really.

i'm sticking with Jon Stewart videos for now. need to laugh.

On the ipot i have Denis Leary. highly recommendable

  4. Spuddie is a funny guy.

Autocomplete is your enemy one day and your friend the next ;\)

First of all, throw that Internet Explorer out and get Firefox.

    Tabbed browsing is the mothership.

( IE7 does it too, but very slow and bad)

Organize your favorite sites in folders and open them in tabs.

RSS feeds is great to get a fast overview on news.

  5. yeah i thought that was too warm for you, i like a cold one too, but i can go drinking all night if i get the tempered ones.

Düsseldorf, hmm have you thought about going to Schreveningen for surfing?

i never actually surfed there, but Netherlands offers some nice beers and (probably crappy) surf from the late fall. If you are hungry enough, i guess you could have some fun.

  6. No no \:\)

no need to apologize, it's just my reading skills that are not up to the standard of you guys, i even had to go to wiki to look up "prudence"

This is a free forum, and everyone have their right to express their views on dice games, boards, movies and gasses, and God. even if it means crapping a little on each other...

  7. In my younger days, i took a scientific approach to the game. read books, did the math and so on. but it did not make me a better player. I then stopped playing for a while.

Then i started to go to Christiania where i played Arabs and Iranians. fast games, lot of fun (and lots of hashish).

and i found out what the game really was about (for me anyway): having fun and socializing with complete strangers.

The book-reading approach is so... japanese?

  8. In my end of surfing culture things have been moving back in time in the last 10-15 years or so.

In the 80's longboarding was going 3 fin, shorter and in general trying to emulate shortboarding. how sad it was.

these days it is all about what it used to be, style over performance.

My wife and i own 9 boards between us, and while my wife uses 3-4 different, i always take "my special" board.
