..And that leads me to the big question.
How to get started on those jumps whitout getting hurt?
It looks fun, but i am really afraid of getting airborne. What are the "golden rules"?
thanks

No need to worry about me Toque or anyone else , Promise!
But i am worried about brother (Kevin Bacon?) on picture, though. His genitals seems a bit ..Squeezed in there.
I bacically don't care too much about what people think of me or my wear. It is REALLY nice to wear.
Ask me any question about my suit:)
(and i also have a great idea for my future avartar)
Last weekend i saw a brother in a snake skin-pattern 2 piece suit. yes, i laughed quietly. But Bro was most probably proud of his outfit, and there is no reason to make him feel bad about himself.
Toque, You wrote
"If you can afford to go to the hills regularly you can afford to buy new equipment every 10 years."
For who's sake, yours?
One thing i really don't understand is the amount of accesories (towels, talc bags, PET bottles and other useless JUNK) the average one-piece-wearing-japanese-teenager have hanging from their belts. the length and amount of junk seems to have grown this year. Anyone else noticed?

Respect for red light?!?!?!
come to Shizuoka my friend, people drive like idiots here, red lights are are considered "a friendly advice" here.

1. Jared my snowbrother, this one is for you, make sure your nose is REAL close to the speakers
That should even the score
just to stay a little on the subject...
One piece suits have many advantages, farting in them is NOT one of them, gas seems to travel upwards and escape around your nose

1. Stress, i feel it everyday.
2. As much as we all love winter, darkness and lack of warm weather and sunshine is known to drive people crazy, I know VERY well what i am talking about, i'm from Denmark! It is amazing what a little "beach time" can do for you!

Excuse me, but most of you sound like a bunch of 14 year old high school girls! "Did you see her bathing suit..."
People wear whatever clothes or suits for a reason. Either because they think it is looking good or because it serves a purpuse for them, and it is not up to anyone else to judge them. It annoy me slightly that so called grown up's like you are putting them on display like they (we) are freaks.
I wear my suit for reasons that makes perfectly sense to me. DON'T JUDGE!
Fashion police.. give me a break!
If someone have been keeping their 80's suit in good condition for 20 years, give them a little respect instead.
Everyday i see customized cars that i would never drive myself. but i also know that making fun of the proud owners would hurt their feelings.
maybe this forum is better suited for subjects like this.
Ok, i'm feeling better now.

I've had a collison like the one Arupensutairu describes. Ski dude comes right across from the left and collide with me, sideways. My first thought - Baka!!! on second thought, we are both at fault.
we were both acting like we were alone on the slope. I learned my lesson, hope ski dude did too.

PS arupensutairu i've just looked at your video, impressive stuff, but it remind me of something like this "i was going down the freeway at 250mph, minding my own business, and then suddenly some guy pulled out from the rest area, what was he thinking?"

I spent about one year on St.Croix (u.s.v.i).
Whenever you met one of the local rastas, and asked how they were, they were almost always answering "im chillin' out" (have to say it with cruzan accent)
always hot there, locals are often to be found under large trees that offers shade. Most rastas are very friendly with maryjane.

Hi .Stoke.
2 weeks ago, an 8 year old kid got killed at my "home resort" Ontake, after a 28 year old skier crashed into him/her (dunno if it was a boy or a girl).
I had a young snowboard teenager crashing into me, after he overtook me, and failed a silly trick right in front of me to impress me. stupid.......
i am able to ride very fast, but fear of crashing into other people always slows me down.
i have the impression that if you come from behind, it is your responsibility not to crash into people in front of you. That being said, i have been "caught" by people in front/to the side of me who have made wide turns on crowded days
my point is: Everything starts with yourself, and if you behave well (and i have no doubt that you do) and take care, maybe there will be one accident less that day.

Excuse me, but!
Please take a look at your history books. go read the bible.
All over the world minorities gets the blame for all sorts of things. Jews, Muslims, blacks, Whites (Zimbabwe), Brazilians and gaijins.....
This is a human mechanism "we and them"
There is nothing new in this discussion. It is unfair to single out the japanese for being "racist" just as it is unfair to single out the gaijins for being unlawful....
This tread is only going to be interesting if we start to talk about how we would like to se japanese resorts to develop new areas.
Like all other (extreme)sports, people seeks new challenges and it is only natural that snowsports develops too.
"bad Gaijins" should know one thing. When people or governments set rules or makes laws, they are to be followed, if You feel that a law is "unsuitable" for you, well... break it! but do it quietly, it will cause you much less trouble, and allow you to do your thing. believe me, i have been smoking weed for 20 years...
hmmm there is more, but i'm off to work

Hi Snow Japan Mod!
I never meant to accuse you of inapropriate use of our information, i don't believe that you would do anything like that. If my post left anyone to believe that, i am sorry!
But what i wanted to say was: If anyone write their e mail adress in a post in this (or any other) forum they have for sure signed up for Viagra, lesbians and easy money.
I must add though, i have given my precious e mail adress to Amazon.com a year ago, and they seem to keep it to themselves. i get no spam mail, nothing at all, maybe because i am a bit paranoid......

Junk mail is a problem, but not for me!
i used to get a lot, in fact so much that hated my outlook!
One problem is that spammers have very clever "wolf" programs that hunts the internet for e mail adresses, therefore: never post your e mailadress on the net, that include your ICQ, AIM, Messenger or whatever instant messenger prg you may be using, Don't write it in this or other forums, i am sure SJ don't sell your adress, but beware of the "wolf"
Another problem is company's that you do business with, web sites you register with, some of them just sends you tons of junk, others sell their e mail lists to spammers. they ought to be shot!
If you must give an e mail to websites, give them either a fake one, or make a real Hotmail account only for that purpuse!
Never answer, or unsubscribe to junk mail, that will only tell spammers that your account is active and beeing used. In fact never even open them when you are online. Reason? a lot of spam mails are in HTML code, and the junk you recieve is actually unique and identifies YOU, when your mail client downloads images or text it identifies you as a spam reader, and you get more spam GO off line if you must read Viagra adds
Lastly there are all those "friends" who makes gang mails with all of their contacts in the "to" field, those people should have their heads examined, because sooner or later your mail adress will end up with a spammer, e mail adresses are commodities that are worth money. So how to send gang mails? mail it to your self and put all your friends e mail adresses in the BCC field. Make sure your gang-mail-sending friends gets the message!
There is only one thing to do, get a new e mail adress, and live by "thunderpants-anti-spam-rules" in the future.
Hope it helps
