Thanks for the suggestion. We won't be making any changes to the new system immediately... apart from being really busy with a few other things right now, we want to take a look at how things go with the new section over the coming weeks/months and collect ideas on how to possibly improve it in the future. Thanks. Yes they do go round checking them - though some always seem to go pretty crazy every year! Today they were actually needed though in some parts of the town.

With the first snow of the season arriving in Yuzawa town today, we thought we'd celebrate by going round the resorts around the town and taking some pics to share with you. We got a bit carried away perhaps, but hey we have our new photo system so we thought we'd make the most of it! Strange weather today - southern parts of the town saw almost heavy snow at times (around 5+cm up at Tsuchitaru), while it was still raining near Gala to the north.... and heavy rain in neighbouring Shiozawa. Can't say I've tried. It's snowing in the Yuzawa town area this morning (the forecast was rain - bonus!) as well as up at Naeba. We'll try to get some pics up on the Now page tonight.

"Balkan humour" or not (whatever that is! ), please try to understand this from our point of view: Many thousands of people read these forums. If a comment about the site is posted that can easily be misunderstood, many people may read it and, er, misunderstand. So because we really care about the site, it's reputation and integrity, we want to clear things up if at all possible. I think that's reasonable

Oh you won't find them very early posts sava - it was an earlier 'bulletin board' software that was used way back before anyone visited the site!

OK thanks I just want to point out that a tremendous amount of time and effort goes into the now pages and giving people the info. Each one is written by someone who is THERE, telling it like it is.... we're really strict about that fundamental thing being the essential basis of the reports. On a less serious note, I'm sure he won't mind me saying this but way back when the site first started - and until 'real people' turned up - I think Andrew (the guy who created it in the first place) was pretty much "talking to himself" on the forums to get the thing going. Or maybe not.

Things that are on our now reporting pages are not "rumours" - they are written by people there and reporting "the truth".
