Looks almost worth it Mick!

So people just kept on driving?
Were you forced to exit the expressway?
Interesting!

As my name suggests...... Wakaran!
Need to get into season though it will likely be weekends, hopefully long ones, with targets being Gunma, Niigata, Nagano.
Would like to see Zao too.

I forgot to post these, taken at Joetsu kokusai in February

Good to hear that.
One thing I really hate is paying a ton for p&p. It always seems such a rip off, though I don't know if it actually is or not. (Is it?)
-
That looks like fun.
Where did you try that TB?
-
Total of 7.
Hoping to get one last day in to Kagura soon.

My surname is Jones BofC. Just right for me then.

This snow moving machine just gave up I think

I thought it might be fun to collect some wipeout images of ourselves and/or friends. Heres a few from today

I was at Ishiuchi Maruyama today in Niigata. (Thanks SJ!)
Sunny for the most part, clouded over. Snow was good. Wasn't too busy but from what I hear more than a normal Monday so some people still on holidays. Didn't have to wait for a lift though.
Good first day, tired now. Time for beer.
Just a few photos to share, nothing particularly exciting but anyway. Before we get going, Wickets please...

Signed. Phew. On to some beer drinking now!

That's the plan though it seems ok I have been offered it. Going tomorrow to sign some documents.

Dropped on lucky. Someone suddenly had to quite and return home in a company my friend works for and looks like I have got a job to go to there.
-
I have been told this week that my job will no longer exist after the end of this month.
So, I'm a bit shocked and just about starting to think about 'what to do'.
-
Off topic a bit but was looking at some of those tiny "net pcs" that seem to be the latest boom here. Around 50000 yen. Some of them running Vista --- seemed very slow, though I like the idea of such a machine that size.

Looking forward to seeing just the top of that phone box peeking out from under the snow soon!

Canyons is a professional backcountry touring company.
That's what they do and they're good.
The info page on here can be found here:

Fun watching them anyway!

I have waaaay not enough money to waste it on Karuizawa!
Shopping seems to be part of the attraction, so if that floats your boat too!
-
From what I gather looks like either same or increased a bit like less than a few hundred yen.
-
Those guys are amateurs, and in fact don't do it themselves. My friends had no end of hassle and a generally very bad experience.
I would go direct with Canyons (Minakami, but do Kagura, info on this site) if I were you without question.
