  1. My friend and I are in the initial stages of planning a trip to Europe next spring. We're hoping to take a month off and go to a few different countries. We don't want it to be too rushed and have a balanced menu of things to do - mountains, coasts, countryside, city life.

It's still really early on - we're just looking at brochures and the internet and stuff, you know the cool planning phase.

If you were to choose 3 or 4 European countries, which would you go for.....?

  2. The bulk of the 100k is unavoidable, it's what they do with their "fixes" that add to it.

Interesting thing here. I had a friend who recently said NO NO NO to some of the recommendations from the garage - he wanted to save money and thought they were trying to screw him.

Anyway, he had an accident last week when one of the things the garage recommended fixing broke. Luckily it wasnt anything major, but it wouldn't have happened if he'd had it seen to. (Something to do with the brakes or something).

He now has to shell out about 150000+ yen if he wants his current car fixed up. If he had had it done beforehand at his shaken it would have been 20000 yen.
