  1. I have lived in Gunma for 3 years and I think Japan is great. The beer is good, girls are cute, food is great and the boardin ro****s. But, Japan does need a better night life, especially around the ski resorts!!!(see many posts on this topic!!) I'll return to England next year with a little lump in my throat (probably the recurring thought of natto). Take it easy!
  2. Went to Naeba on the 8th and the runs that were open were OK. 2 lifts running from the bottom and the gondola ran to the top. From the top of the gondola there were another 3 lifts running. The snow at the top was pretty good, and not too many people had ventured up there. Word of warning!!! To get down you have to ride the gondola back. Don't do what we did and skip on to the closed runs and board down, the rocks under the 20 cm of snow really screw your base up!!!! Good ridin!!
  3. Eriond, Like Nat said Gala is a good deal. But also Kawaba (in Gunma) is popular with the Tokyoites because it is easy to get to from that direction. It's just off the highway that I can't remember the name of. But be warned, it is often busy and very windy. Also in Gunma is Norn in Minakami, which is only a small resort but has good late night boardin'. And again is very close to the highway.
