Yeah buckafuffalo, you never know it till you try. -
Not sure about what you are asking. I have a cable TV connection so I just only use it. Some houses around seem to have that "dish" anntena thingy though.

If any, it would cost extra some $$$ and this happens often.

Another meaning dog food? Hum... not sure what you mean. Maybe you were unlucky, just pitted in a bad place?

Taking Shinkansen from Tokyo
gamera replied to dreaburn's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I think it's German? Italy is the 4th country developping a fast train system by their own skill. Their speed limit is 200+ something, not 300kms/h. The other day I saw an ad for italian fast train and their trade was to provide excellent meals in the train which our JP shink missed -

Yep. France, Japan, Germany are only countries which have developed those fast trains by their own skills which can run at 300kms/h. Now some are interested in which country of the 3 starts driving faster than 300kms/h. I think 300kms/h is enough though.... Don't want to get involved in any accidents. -
One piece jumpsuit ski wear?
gamera replied to Mudguts's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I used to wear a one piece ski clothes. As you guess, it's tough to rush in the toilet. You need to unzip all the way from the neck to your crotch asap. And yes, no snow invading at all while you wear one correctly. -
Ahhhhh.... okay.

Toque, you can do it by yourself. I tried "user shaken" when I was a uni student. I am not good at mechanic at all but it was okay. Ask Riku-un jimusho if they had English forms for it.

Firedog23, actually there still are some other old method like that in Japan as well. e.g. "sun and shaku" ( don't pronounce the "sun" like it in English way, do it as Spanish or Italians do!) I think a sun is roughly 3.3cms, a shaku is 10 suns(33cms) My parents sometimes mention about it which I totally don't understand. They

Ah then maybe if you purchase one ( old or new, it doesn't matter ), you need to pay it. And those who purchased ones before this came, they need to pay it at the time of the first shaken?

Grrr... stones. If I remember right, 1 stone = 14lbs? Very "approximate" lol... I think I weigh roughly 12+ stones if that were correct.

Taking Shinkansen from Tokyo
gamera replied to dreaburn's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
But a lot of tunnels, often can't see anything. Only in the dark. I prefer old express like Azusa. -
Hum.. No. When I had last shaken back in Oct 2004, they didn't mention anything about it if I remember right. But nowadays when we buy TVs, pcs, laundry machines, refridgeators etc, they mentioin about it. Is that "re-cyle dai" charged only once, right? Not each and every time when you have shaken?
-
Yeah, you need to know what's included and what's not in the 9000 yen. I think usually a shaken costs 160000 - 200000+ (tax etc all included ) in my case every time when I need. This happens anywhere. I found a cheap computer in a newspaper and had an access to their web site. But the price there was very different from the one in the paper. A lot restrictions described this and that in that web page so I gave up to keep going on the web page.

Takasakiyama in Ohita pref. Close to Beppu Onsen. Do you know it? That happened all of sudden. It stole the caramel box from my hand by rushing at my face. I cried out. -

Muikabochi, pay attention at monkeys, they are wild and agressive especially if you hold any food in your hand! I was attacked by an adult monkey when I was 5 years old as I held a box of caramel in my hand. My mom gave me a warning to hide it but this handful boy didn't listen to his mom and attacked. It was very scary trauma even now. -

If you can reach Tokyo station only around 8 - 9 p.m. to find a place to stay for this evening, probably you had better find one where you can reach around 1 hour by shink from Tokyo. Perhaps Echigo-yuzawa at Joetsu shink, Nasu-shiohara at Tohoku shink, Karuizawa at Hokuriku shink etc are convenient to you, I guess. Good luck! -

I hear they were the first shop which sold it that's why I said at the "begining". Probably it was not sold before, I guess.
