  1. Thanks for that thursday, but it's ok. It was hardly offensive. I just decided to delete it and not have it up here. Wouldn't want to 'humanise' the site and us people behind it would we. wink

All it was was I was a little fed up with rude people contacting us and demanding stuff as if we owe them something and then bad-mouthing us when they don't get what they want. It's rather annoying!

  4. seemore, as is almost always the case in things like this, you did not see all that went on - stuff that has either been edited or deleted. It wasn't just about one post either, it was a persistant 'campaign' as noted by a few other readers. I think I also mentioned that he/she is still able to post on here if they want to.

And after all that, and even though it didn't come across clearly in the posts, it has got to also be said that we're not mad keen on people coming on these Forums simply "to promote" a place either.

It would be good if the thread could get back to something like on topic.

  5. Response by biri-island to my above post has been deleted.

biri island - we don't really take too well to sarcastic/witty comebacks. You just posted two. You are not banned, and you can still post, but if you do decide to post again it will need to be approved by us before it goes online. You pretty much pushed us into that action.

Also if you were indeed on here 'to promote Furano', as you said in the deleted post, may I suggest that you went about it the wrong way.

    Thanks.

Welcome. I'm sure that some people will provide you with some specific advice but it is worth pointing out that there is much more to Japan than Hokkaido and Hakuba, though they are of course very popular destinations.

If you want a general introduction to things, here are some starters for you

and for reports from some popular areas in recent years

    Good luck.

  7. If we were to allow one agent/business to post their contact details on these Forums, we would effectively need to allow any and all to do so. It would not be fair for us to allow one and not others and would create all sorts of problems.

If we did allow this on these Forums, they would quickly become a place where a considerable number of people wanting to sell their services to you would register and come on here for the sole purpose of selling their services to you, and it would become a classifieds-like mess. We don't think that's best for these Forums.

General information that might help people such as that posted by acpowman is welcome but please don't ask/encourage businesses to post their info (or indeed post the info itself).

    Thank you.
