  1. man it's seriously like counter-strike and unreal tournament out there nothin but headshots
  2. 100cm of fresh @ Hakkoda Ropeway. I arrived late and my first run wasn't until around 1:00pm. Was still too much snow and was able to get freshies until the end. Was also able to get in 5 runs.
  3. Nice shirt! Sorry to hear about what happened to your monopod/pole. I only started using the upside down gopro pole mount view after viewing your vids. I've actually gone through three different monopods all of which have been broken. Have you found any alternatives? Will you ever do any POV shots?
  4. Just goes to further prove that more expensive doesn't mean better. Wow the new vids are insane. Everything looks perfect even though this was right after the warm spell. Love it when the trees are full of fresh snow. Not to mention the amount of overhead pow shots you are taking!
  5. Hey man Been away from posting on forums for about a year but have been lurking every once and a while. I think I mentioned a while back that I was gonna head up to Hokkaido this February but turns out that I won't be able to due to money. Really wanted to try out one of your DIY boards. They look totally rad! Fantastic job with that. Powder looking top notch as well. More vids please!!! Any plans to head up to Asahidake?
  6. Generally North East Japan ski-jo's are uncrowded even on weekends! As intermediates who want uncrowded runs, Appi is a good choice! Even though a lot people go there on weekends, the place is big enough to spread out everyone. Lift queues are almost non existent(especially in the second and third area). Just beware of days where the Gondolas shutdown due to winds (this is not so uncommon there and it is one of my main gripes about this place.) How many nights are you staying in Iwate? Are you going to be driving? If you are going to have access to a car and if you get bored of Appi h
  7. I would go with guides to get the best out of Hakkoda. Snowshoe, pole, and beacon rentals are available. Direct can be fun but has a lot of flat spots, and the forest course is even flatter. Depending on where you go with guides you could spend about as little as a half hour to get to some good spots. There can be days where Hakkoda gets so much snow that only a small pathway in the Direct course is doable. Heading off the broken-in track would just get you stuck. We've already had a few nights of 90cm snowfall.
