Well done Ippy good rave with some very nice pics. Cant believe that there could be such a difference in snowfall to Niseko.

Hamilton Island is been evacuated today with a Category 4 cyclone to hit in 2 days time. Winds to >200kms per hour and torrential rain. Queensland perfect one day,an absolute disaster the next, thats the tropics in summer.

Your just killing me you guys with those photos. 2 weeks till I get there. The excitement level would be over the top driving up there with that much on the side of the road. So much snow so little money.

Thanks guys looking at the pictures on the chuo taxi website their vans dont really look like they are set up to take skis eg roof racks. Would have to lay them in the aisle or hold onto them if the van was full maybe??? Going out to the ski areas around Nagano you would think chuo would be organise for this. On their website it says a max of one bag and one carry on and to notify them of any special baggage requirements, maybe skis are special baggage.

Hi, will be traveling from Narita to Nozawa by Chuo taxi. Is there a problem taking my skis? I know I can use a courier service but I dont like parting with them. Total devastation if they didnt turn up next day. When booking Chuo taxi should I tell them I will have skis? Also will catch buses from Nosawa to Happo, ok to take boot bag, another bag and skis..Another 3 weeks till I arrive wish it was this week , looks so good over there now. Cheers.
