  1. 1st timer in Japan and I'm organising guided options for a group of 35 (our local ski club). Of course we all want to make the most of our week in Niseko (7-13 Feb) so I thought the following would hit the nail - Day 1 - Free ski inbounds Niseko Day 2 - Back Bowls Day 3 - Free ski (and go back to those bowls) Day 4 - Free ski Day 5 - Ski tour to Shiribetsu Day 6 - Day trip to Rusutsu My questions - is there anything you would suggest we skipped or did instead. Is Rusutsu a bad call for a Saturday (crowds?). Thanks for any input!

Another 10-20 due for this weekend, cold temperatures and more lifts opening. It's a long trip for you to risk typical early season whiteouts or limited access but it's shaping up quite nicely. West Switzerland does not have as much coverage at the moment. Let me know if you decide to jum

Hoping to find someone willing to show my mate and I around a bit (first time Japan) - who's happy to share their hidden stashes in return for beer? Open to use gates, bootpack or tour (up to 2 hours). Season has started well here in Switzerland with over a meter in Davos, Engelberg and Andermatt - it's almost Friday ;-)
  4. LOL we toured Santis in May this year but skied mashed potatoes. Just had our first 25cm on the local hills so getting ready to ride! Another thought to Jim - if you base yourself out of Davos you can easily ski not only the 6 linked areas of Davos/Klosters but also day trip it to Lenzerheide, Laax/Flims and St Moritz. Awesome!
  5. Hi Jim, am new to this forum but thought I could start by offering some help ... and later hit you guys with my questions about Backcountry in Niseko ;-) I live in Zurich and ski 50-60 days in the surrounding area (mainly Switzerland and Austria). It is easy here to access the resorts by train but if you are going to cover Austria too then I would suggest a car rental. My favorites in Switzerland (it's so hard to choose): Andermatt - 1 hour from Zurich, the village that time forgot, antique lift systems and amazing off-piste accessed by short boot packs. Davos/ Klosters - 1.5 hrs ve
