Yeah big fan of Muji, shopped there a bit in the UK. She is a super organised efficient type so would love it. Unfortunately Muji haven't made it to Oz yet.

But I have finished my shopping now. Got her a nice Patagonia travel bag, necklace (not pearl) with matching earrings. Plus flowers, dinner and drinks on her big day tomorrow.

I´d start thinking about putting inserts in between the inner lining and outer shell anyway. It packs out because of the friction/movement from your feet....

From experience; I had my first 2 pairs of boots heat molded...both good quality boots (one was Burton Hail if I remember correctly, the other Salomon I think). I was disappointed that after around 20(ish) days the heel support became less and less. Since then I dont heat mold and have found the support stays longer (30+ days).

I do, however, agree with your above comments Jynxx. Obviously this is all very subjective and unless you get you identical boots, heat mold one, and wear them both for the same about of time and compare the results you may never put this one to bed.

Yeah I think that is the way to go. Possibly not Tiffanys, as I think the place is bogan/chav shit. Dinner is booked, have some other smaller gifts and going to get some jewelry I spotted a few weeks ago this afternoon.

haha thanks for your support JA. The issue was, whilst I had plenty of ideas...all I am sure she would love, I am a bit of a perfectionist and was holding out to find the 'perfect gift'. Typically I have over thought the situation, and as pointed out by the above keeping it sincere & simple is the way to go.
