Sad to hear it.
15 years ago, Kandatsu was a very popular resort and extremely busy place.

I know someone who worked for Kandatsu when Pine Ridge took them over about 6 years (?) ago. They had big plans but it all seemed to end up being as much talk as action and results. There was it seems quite a lot of friction between the staff and the suddenly moved in management who were American/Korean. It was not successful.

It is worth a visit. Since they put gondola at resort I think became quite bigger. The snow is usually really great there.

Hello thank you. I think it is good idea. But maybe still early and it's like my crusade! I don't know how my manager will react.
I want to say thank you very much to the man who replied my mail by calling. We had very good talk. I was very impressed how I feel this site people wanted to help with advice and ideas without some kind of sales talking. That attitude I think is rare, but create very good impression.

I want to say hello to all the people using this website. It is impressive to see such thing in English covering so much information and so many people. I have worked in Japanese ski industry for many years now since college now I work for a ski resort in Nagano. [i don't really want to mention name right now!]
I was wondering about my resort and this website. Until now we did not really try to get foreign skier and snowboarder come our hill but I am personally interested. My management maybe not so sure right now but they can see success in another region for example Niseko and with less Japanese perhaps we should try to do it.
This site looks like such perfect place for put information but how do I do it? We don't really have money but wondering what I can do and who to contact about it. Sorry for strange question and hope you can understand.
I hope to see more foreign and also Japanese people on the ski hills this winter. Lets hope much snow!

My phone is always set to OFF and in the locker when I am on the mountain!
