Sad to hear it. 15 years ago, Kandatsu was a very popular resort and extremely busy place. Great photos though!

I know someone who worked for Kandatsu when Pine Ridge took them over about 6 years (?) ago. They had big plans but it all seemed to end up being as much talk as action and results. There was it seems quite a lot of friction between the staff and the suddenly moved in management who were American/Korean. It was not successful.

It is worth a visit. Since they put gondola at resort I think became quite bigger. The snow is usually really great there.

Hello thank you. I think it is good idea. But maybe still early and it's like my crusade! I don't know how my manager will react. I want to say thank you very much to the man who replied my mail by calling. We had very good talk. I was very impressed how I feel this site people wanted to help with advice and ideas without some kind of sales talking. That attitude I think is rare, but create very good impression. Hello I want to say hello to all the people using this website. It is impressive to see such thing in English covering so much information and so many people. I have worked in Japanese ski industry for many years now since college now I work for a ski resort in Nagano.
