Any peeps have any advice on staying in Hiroshima v Miyajima. Have three nights spare down that way at present and was thinking staying at Miyajima and traveling across to Hiroshima for the sites each day. Would leave day to hike arounf Miyajima. Any feedback welcome....

Anyone stayed at Masazo before? Couldn't fnd anywhere on the site/ Good, Bad or otherwise?

Anyone give any advice regarding dinenr in Nozawa Onsen. Place I'm looking to stay offers breakfast only or breakfast and dinner option. Probably keener to go out and look around each evening but read somewhere there weren't that many options. thanks

After a great trip to Hakuba last year, my wife and I have decided to come back for more. We are flying in/out of Tokyo in February and are looking at 7 days skiing. Have been looking into Nozowa Onsen. Anyone give any recommendations on what resorts are like / accommodation recommendations? Other alternative was Shiga Kogen.

You need to think of dollar averaging. Holiday this year , not so good, but averaged out over 20 years, not so bad.

As per JA, would recommend sending your gear. I found this out after lugging my snowboard and luggage onto and off trains. Also recommend Andon Ryokan. Myself and my other half stayed there last December. Managed to fit my snowboard bag in the room but was pretty tight, either had to stand it up at an angle, or lay it down next to me when in bed. I think they do have a storage area though but it was full when we were there.
