Nagano Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen line is about 27km from the ski area.


A bus service from Kurohime Station is usually available during the winter.


A taxi from the station costs around 2,500 yen.

By road

  • 4.3km from the Shinano-machi IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway

  • 8.4km from the Myoko Kogen IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway


Nearest national route: Route 18 (4.7km away)


Shinano IC is the closest exit on the Joshinetsu Expressway.


At the Shinano IC exit traffic lights, turn right onto Route 18. At the junction in a few hundred metres turn right onto Prefecture Road 119, signposted as Kurohimekogen. Continue on Prefecture Road 119 for just over 3km and turn left to head up to the base of the ski area.


There are a number of car park areas for up to 1,300 vehicles close to the base of Kurohime Kogen Snow Park.


You can reserve a parking space in advance close to the slopes if you like for 2,000 yen (limited number of spaces available).
