By train and public transport

White Valley is located 3km from Minakami Station on the local Joetsu line and about 14km from Jomo Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen line.


There is a free shuttle bus from Minakami Station. The bus usually leaves the station at 8:30am, 9:40am and 10:40am.


A taxi from Minakami Station takes less than 10 minutes.

By road

  • 6.9km from the Minakami IC on the Kanetsu Expressway

  • 17.5km from the Tsukiyono IC on the Kanetsu Expressway

White Valley is just under 7km from the Minakami IC exit of the Kanetsu Expressway.


At the Minakami IC exit traffic lights, turn left onto Route 291. After 1.3km turn left at the first traffic lights to continue on Route 291 towards central Minakami. After another 3km, at the Tanigawa Onsen Iriguchi traffic lights, take a sharp turn left onto Prefecture Road 252. Follow this road for about 2.5km to reach White Valley.


There is parking for 200 vehicles near the base of White Valley.


Parking is free on weekdays. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays there is charge of 1,000 yen for the day.
