By train and public transport

Yubiso Station on the Joetsu line is about 3km from Okutone Snow Park.


Jomo Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen line is 17.4km to the south.

A free shuttle bus from Minakami Station is available. The buses leave at 8:30am, 9:45am and 10:50am and the journey takes about 15 minutes. (At time of checking - check to me sure).


Local buses from Jomo Kogen Station (Joetsu Shinkansen) are also available and they take about 40 minutes.


Various tour buses services from the Kanto region are also available.

By road

Okutone Snow Park is just over 10km from the Minakami IC exit of the Kanetsu Expressway.


From the Minakami IC exit traffic lights, turn left onto Route 291 and then turn left at the first traffic lights (1.3km) to continue on Route 291 for about 6km. At the Oana traffic lights turn right onto Prefecture Road 63 (also known as the Okutone-Yukemuri Highway) and follow the signs to Okutone which is a further 3km to the right of the main road.


The car park at the base of Okutone Snow Park is open 24 hours a day and is free to use every day of the season. The car park holds up to 600 cars.
