By train and public transport

Minakami Kogen Ski Resort is about 15km from Yubiso Station on the Joetsu line and about 18km from the larger Minakami Station on the same line.


Jomo Kogen Station on the Joetsu Shinkansen line is about 29km away from the ski area.


A free ski area shuttle bus is available from Jomo Kogen Station (60 minutes) and Minakami Station (30 minutes). Reservations are required at three days in advance for non hotel guests (who may not be able to use it during busy periods).


A taxi from Minakami Station takes about 30 minutes and costs at least 6,500 yen.


A special day trip bus is also available from Maebashi and Takasaki City.

By road

Minakami Kogen Ski Resort is about 22km from the Minakami IC exit on the Kanetsu Expressway.


From the Minakami IC exit, turn left onto Route 291 and then turn left at the first traffic lights (1.3km) to continue on Route 291 for about 6km. At the Oana traffic lights, turn right onto Prefecture Road 63 (also known as the Okutone-Yukemuri Highway). Go past Okutone Snow Park on the right, and soon after, you will arrive at some traffic lights. Either turn left (if you are equipped and used to winter snow roads) or continue straight on. Go past the turn-off and signposts for Minakami Hodaigi. The turn-off from Prefecture Road 63 for Minakami Kogen Fujiwara is about 3.5km farther on than the turn-off for Minakami Hodaigi. Turn right at the signs and follow the road and signs up to the ski area.


Car parking is available close to the base of the ski area. The Day Center car park is free and open from 7:00am until 5:00pm (mostly on weekends and holidays).


There is also a special car park at the base Minakami Kogen Hotel 200. That car park is open 24 hours a day and free for guests of the hotel (and can be used on weekdays for non-guests).
