By train and public transport

The ski area is just over 12km from Yubiso Station on the Joetsu line.


Minakami Station on the same line is just under 15km away.


A free shuttle bus service is available from Jomo Kogen Station (45 minutes) and Minakami Station (30 minutes). This bus mostly operates on weekends and holidays.


Other normal bus services stop at Takagawa Iriguchi and a ski area shuttle bus is available from there to the base.

By road

Gunma Minakami Hodaigi is about 19km from the Minakami IC exit on the Kanetsu Expressway.


From the Minakami IC exit, turn left onto Route 291 and then turn left again at the first traffic lights after 1.3km to continue on Route 291 for about 6km. At the Oana traffic lights past central Minakami, turn right onto Prefecture Road 63 (also known as the Okutone-Yukemuri Highway). Go past Okutone Snow Park on the right and soon after you will arrive at some traffic lights. Either turn left (if you are equipped for and used to driving on winter snowy roads) or continue straight on for around a further 9km to the signposted turn off towards Hodaigi.


There is parking for about 2,400 vehicles close to the base of the ski area.


Parking is free on weekdays and 1,000 yen on weekends and holidays (and over the New Year period).
