The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The wind has arrived and it is moderately gusty at village level and will certainly be stronger at the tops. It is snowing lightly and a small accumulation of 1cm has built up. The light snow is still predicted to turn into rain in the afternoon, and approximately 2cm of rain is forecast during today at mid mountain elevation. Temperatures at base are currently -2c. Not a fantastic day if the rain comes through but I will be hedging my bets and heading out early for a few runs. The wind will be with us for a few days and should reduce by Thursday morning. There is some light snow on the radar for Tuesday and Wednesday. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good morning on a glorious Monday. Conditions are just looking perfect this morning. The area is surrounded in deep blue sky with not a hint of wind in the village. It will be a great day to take some photos with the blue sky providing a vivid contrast to the whiteness of the snow. There has been a couple of centimetres of new snow overnight and there is a little more expected later this afternoon. Tomorrow is also looking good but will be more of a cloud/clear mix with a slight breeze and 6cm of snow forecast tomorrow evening. Looking further ahead in the week we are going to jump into a period of warm weather from Thursday onwards, and significantly there is moderate rain from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Temperatures overnight have remained well below freezing and there is a light layer of 2cm of fresh powder snow in the village. The skies are mainly blue with some clouds floating around and the sun is very strong even if the temperatures are cold. The mountain has been well groomed and the courses have a firm base with the overnight powder on top. The snow on course will soften a little with the morning sun. Light snow is expected later today and through until Monday. The heaviest fall will be on Friday evening. Wind conditions should be calm and temperatures should remain cold for the next few days. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The morning started out very sunny with nice blue skies. In the last half hour some light cloud has rolled over the top of the resort and is hanging around the upper third of the mountain. -12c was recorded at the top earlier on, so conditions will be firm and fast with a light layer of new snow overnight. Temperatures will rise during the day but should stay below freezing. Conditions will be relatively calm over the next few days. Light snow is forecast for the next 6 days and there is a significant dump on the radar for Tuesday evening. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good morning to Saturday. The day is looking really good out there with a whopping 9cm of light powder in the village overnight. There is no wind and it continues to snow moderately at the moment. Temperatures are pretty warm, but importantly the resort is still sitting below freezing, meaning the pow will be good this morning. Cloud is rolling three quarters of the way down the hill but it should lift as the morning progresses. Tomorrow's forecast is positive with largely clear skies and no wind. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is a blue sky day with some cloud mixed in, and the resort looks great sparkling in the sun. There is a strong wind gusting at the moment and this has caused the operation of the Kitanomine Gondola to be put on hold. The wind is forecast to reduce and be relatively calm by tomorrow morning. Apart from the wind it is a great day. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Yesterday the rain did eventuate and hung around for a few hours, but didn't detract many from enjoying themselves on the mountain. Today the temperatures have dipped back to more wintery levels. After yesterdays rain the slopes will be a bit firm and frosty, although the sun is out and may help soften things a bit. The winds were fairly strong earlier in the morning but have reduced and now are only light around the village. There is a thin dusting of snow at village level. Tomorrow should be similar but there may be cloud cover so we may not get to see the sun. Expect some more light snow between now and then. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good morning to another fine spring like day in Furano. Blue skies surround us with the odd cloud hanging around. Cloud may increase later in the day. The sun is out and the resort has been topped up with another light layer of new snow. This time 2cm. There is a very light breeze but nothing significant and it should stay around the same level for the day. Tomorrow will be warmer and we can expect temperatures well into the positives on Friday. That warm weather on Friday is also going to bring a period of heavy rain in the evening. We are definitely entering spring. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . It is a perfect Sunday with clear views over the town through to Mt Tokachi in the distance. The slopes are nicely groomed with a little powder on top and a frosty base under that. The base should soften late morning as the sun is out in full force. Ungroomed areas have some lovely light dry powder on them which is pretty amazing considering it is nearly mid March. Tomorrow's forecast is pretty much the same as today's with perhaps slightly warmer temperatures. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Overnight saw 2cm of fresh snow fall in the village. The sun come out early morning and the fresh snow disappeared from around the village. The cold start soon gave way and the temperatures rose above freezing and are currently sitting around +5c. It looks like we will keep the good weather for the remainder of the week with calm wind conditions and sunshine. Roll on spring! The latest Furano Now report can be found here . A pleasant day abounds in Furano with some nice blue sky and sunshine. Temperatures are pretty cold this morning and there is a light breeze which should keep you from overheating on the slopes. There has been 2cm of fresh snow overnight. Kitanomine Zone is now closed for the season and night skiing has also finished. From today onwards it is just the Furano Zone operating. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . The view from the town looking toward the resort this morning is just picture perfect with not a cloud to be seen over the mountain. The morning has started off above freezing and will reach a high of around 9c today. The sun is out in all of its glory and should stay with us through the day. Snow conditions will be soft spring snow from the morning and I would expect it will get pretty slushy on the lower mountain. Tomorrow's weather is also looking pretty good with a mix of cloud and sun, but Sunday will be a contrast to the good weather with heavy rain on the radar for the morning.
