The latest Shiga Kogen Now report can be found here . Good morning. Fresh snow! And actually, quite a decent amount of it too. It took its time to get geared up yesterday but once it did conditions got pretty wild. This morning Yakebitaiyama are reporting 30cm (and 60cm over the last two days), Kumanoyu are reporting 20cm and my enthusiastic friend (code name: bless him!) is saying 40cm. Whatever the number, take the lowest, there's a decent amount of fresh snow on the slopes this morning! :) It is still snowing (light to moderate depending on area) but perhaps easing off later this morning. Clearer weather is due tomorrow too so conditions should remain very good even if it is a bit milder. All areas and connections at Shiga Kogen are now open (with just a few minor exceptions). Always great to see fresh snow on the ground and it kind of feels more special now with the season being as it is. The resort is reporting 15cm up top since yesterday afternoon. Some warm temperatures lined up for Monday and Tuesday next week. (15C?! Yikes). It remains to be seen if this is the last snowfall of the season. Note: I'm saying that in part as a cheeky dare to Nature.... ;) I hold out the hope for more, particularly at higher elevations. The latest Geto Kogen Now report can be found here . Good morning from Geto. And it is. (A good one). A windy day yesterday, the wind affecting the operation of the Number 1 gondola early afternoon. The resort is reporting 33cm of fresh snowfall since yesterday morning with 20cm of that overnight. That sounds about right. It kind of feels like winter again! Regarding the tree runs. I have spoken with someone at the resort and they make the final decision about that around 8:30am. So my report is usually too early to cover that. If you are here, you should check with them at the start of your day. It looks like all but the Extreme tree run course should be open today. The latest Madarao Now report can be found here . Morning. OK so fresh snow to report. The resort is reporting 10cm and I can add 9cm as my personal measurement. It would have been good to get more but it is better than none. And it should be fun out there this morning; things are very quiet now (thanks to what's on the news headlines...) We are expecting gradually warmer temperatures starting tomorrow and peaking around Tuesday when temps might get into (low) double digits. It does look like it will get somewhat colder again beyond that from Wednesday - perhaps we can hold out for a bit more 'winter' then? Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano New snowfall at base 3cm Snowfall at base this season 182cm Posted on Friday 6th March 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Hakuba. I can add a bit more snow since yesterday morning and there are varying numbers being reported by the ski resorts. The biggest number this morning being reported is by the folks over at Tsugaike Kogen who say 25cm. Sounds good, that. Some very strong gusty windy conditions affected quite a few lifts during the day yesterday but operations seem more normal this morning. With access to the mountains this morning and the fresh snow conditions it should be good. It is a cold morning. There is a lot of cloud around still - and seemingly limited visibility in some upper areas - but some blue sky too and a good chance that things will clear up. After the cold morning today it does look like we can expect a return to milder conditions tomorrow with a day or two of real warmth mid week. Let's deal with that later.
