Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 359cm

Posted on Thursday 12th March 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Morning from Naeba.

There's a slight dusting of snow down to base this morning, just about 1cm so hopefully a few more than that higher up.

And it is quite windy too.

There is a lot of cloud about but some blue sky too and the sun breaking through the cloud casting shadows onto the mountain.

We can probably expect fairly clearer conditions until tomorrow.

Looking ahead it would seem that winter-like conditions should be back over the weekend and perhaps into Monday. And that might well include a layer(s) of snow!
