Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata New snowfall at base 6cm Snowfall at base this season 1550cm Posted on Tuesday 18th March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here . The snow fell pretty heavily through the day yesterday, with some fairly strong winds at times as well, but didn’t really amount to much in the end, at least at the base level. Looks like there was more snow higher up in the hills, not an unusual occurrence. It’s a beautiful sunny morning, with sparkling snow on the surface (always nice to get a little fresh in springtime, when the snow can get a little dirty, especially along the roads). The question for today is, how much snow will we get tomorrow? The forecasts keep jumping around (and your writer, unfortunately, will be out of town and therefore negligent in his plowing duties, should we get heavy snow!
