- Hakuba Now: Friday 25th April 2025
Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano New snowfall at base 0cm Snowfall at base this season 782cm Posted on Friday 25th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here . Good morning from Hakuba. Well, after fine weather yesterday, looking forward to sunshine again this morning. It is fine, with cloud, but kind of dull. Early on, anyway. I am seeing conflicting information on a few official websites / official social media this morning regarding the status of a few lifts/courses. I am trying to keep the information below updated as best I can each morning. I cannot do more than that. Apparently, incredulously, it appears to be a real challenge for some ski areas to clearly communicate information about the status of their operations to their paying customers. The latest Furano Now report can be found here . Good morning spring skiers and boarders. Woke up this morning to the sound of snow sliding off my roof. Had about 3 cm, and it was just warm enough that it wasn't sticking to the roof. Normal spring lift ops today. Take the Ropeway to the top and ski up there. It's supposed to be sunny and +10 C the next several days, so looks like it will be pretty nice. Remember, in the spring, Universal Wax is your friend. Not to go faster...just to stop your skis from grabbing and sending your over the tips. Enjoy. Think snow. ** Furano Zone Lift B (aka Furano Quad) is closed for the season due to mechanical failure.
