Snowfall at base this season 782cm

Posted on Friday 25th April 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Hakuba.

Well, after fine weather yesterday, looking forward to sunshine again this morning. It is fine, with cloud, but kind of dull. Early on, anyway.

I am seeing conflicting information on a few official websites / official social media this morning regarding the status of a few lifts/courses. I am trying to keep the information below updated as best I can each morning. I cannot do more than that.

Apparently, incredulously, it appears to be a real challenge for some ski areas to clearly communicate information about the status of their operations to their paying customers. (Forgive my sometimes frustrations on these things!)
