The day is starting off with peaks shining against a bright overcast sky with blue patches of sun.

Fresh snow, however, higher temps have brought in the fog big time petering out at the bottom.

Foggy this morning with winds higher up. Also very cold. It is snowing very lightly which will be of no consequence during the day.

Pea-souper today folks and really cold with many people taking early breaks to warm toes and fingers.

A larger dump last night so plenty of powder around. There's so much that on some lifts you're touching or almost touching the snow underneath.

An unexpected bonanza of snow last night. Lifts are therefore running late in opening.

A small amount of snow overnight but, although temperatures are well below 0c, the snow is wettish.

It is overcast, however, there is a bright halo of sun behind the cloud. There is no fog.

This morning started out drab and foggy but it is now bright and clear with sunny skies and cloud patches.

Another batch of welcome snow last night for the slopes.

The snow gradually picked up pace late yesterday afternoon resulting in a lovely new, welcome layer this morning after a bit of a drought.

Happy long weekend and people are really coming in. The weather is being kind this weekend as well.

This morning is very much a ditto of yesterday. Most of the cloud has gone and the sun is out.

Good to see the clear skies moving in and pushing away the early morning cloud and fog (summit still covered).
