Good morning on the last day of February.
The day is starting off with peaks shining against a bright overcast sky with blue patches of sun. However, as yesterday demonstrated, the weather on the mountain can change quickly and we had a lot of wind bursts, low visibility but also a bonus amount of decent powder quickly smoothing out tracks. It is therefore likely that an overcast sky will rule the day, light snow coming and winds about. Fog is also likely to come down.
So, get out quickly but be prepared for a complete change from the current serenity. Sporadic wind is already about.
