It was snowing quite heavily for a short while about an hour ago, but it didn't last long

Morning from Yuzawa and an improvement on yesterday, which turned out to be a proper wet and rainy day - in town anyway.

After a day of snow and sometimes strong winds yesterday -- 20cm more fresh on the ground around town (I kind of thought it would be more than that, but wind may be playing a part) -- this morning has started off calm and sunny.

After putting up with quite a lot of rain and wet yesterday here at town level, it is very nice to be able to report a good layer of fresh snow on the ground - and snow still falling this morning, and forecast for the day.

After another day of mixed and sometimes confusing weather conditions that made the local weather forecasts look like pure guesswork.

Yesterday it was a mixed bunch of weather conditions in the area - light snow, cloudy, some blue sky, bit of sunshine.

Yesterday was a generally cloudy day. At times you could just above make out the sun from behind the cover of cloud, but cloudy it remained.

Yesterday it was snowing lightly for lots of the day but it really didn't amount to any new cm of snowfall at our measuring point - just 1cm since it was cleared after the report yesterday morning.
