Good morning from Yuzawa. Yesterday was a beauty of a day.

The snow continued falling into the evening yesterday, longer than we were perhaps expecting according to the forecasts.

I'm so happy this morning, I could almost cry.

Yes, it was pretty mild yesterday and I had spots of rain falling when I was out for a bit of a walk last night.

It was snowing for lots of yesterday so it is kind of surprising to see that Kagura are reporting just 1cm of new snowfall and Maiko Snow Resort are reporting 5cm.

I can report 14cm of fresh snow on the ground in town base areas.

It has been snowing on and off during the day today, but no real significant change and generally just a few cm.

After some more wet conditions yesterday, this morning is dry and there is lots of cloud around this morning.

Yesterday felt really good. It was the kind of mid-winter feel that we know and love here in Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma.

I am very happy to report some decent fresh snow on the ground this morning and snow continuing to fall at a good rate.

This morning is a bit better with some fresh snow to report from the resorts.

Light snowfall on and off through the day yesterday, but again it wasn't the kind of snowfall that saw it building up on the ground around town.

Light snow most of the day yesterday, with even some blue sky appearing for a short while before it got dark.
