Good morning from Yuzawa.
After some more wet conditions yesterday, this morning is dry and there is lots of cloud around this morning. There's also some blue sky too and the sun peeking out in places.
Kagura are reporting 5cm of fresh snowfall on their upper slopes and a temperature of -8C up there. I can't see any other reports of snowfall from resorts and there's none at base.
It should be keeping colder as well today and not warm up much, which is a good thing. Cold is good.
Good news from GALA Yuzawa and Yuzawa Kogen this morning - the Ropeway that connects the top of Yuzawa Kogen with the lower part of the Southern Area of GALA Yuzawa is open from this morning.
Sunshine is likely tomorrow, so smiley face mode on and time to get out skiing!
---
There are a lot of visitors from overseas in Yuzawa at the moment, many here to celebrate the Chinese New Year... Happy New Year!
We may have normal amounts of snow this time round, but there's lots to enjoy still and I hope that you have lots of fun. :)
