Very changeable weather conditions continue but it's a happy story this morning... sunny blue skies with Madarao Kogen resort reporting 20-30cm of fresh snow on the mountain.

The resort is reporting 20-30cm of fresh snow on the mountain and I can confirm more than 15cm on the top of my car this morning.

After the fine weather yesterday this morning the cloud is back and right now there's a clean line of cloud coming down to about half way down the mountain - decent visibility below, cloud above.

It is a cold morning in Madarao with light snow falling early on.

It has started snowing this morning and snowing good at the moment.

Not really much to report in terms of new snowfall since yesterdays report, just a dusting I would say but this morning light snow continues to fall.

Madarao was able to mostly open up during the day after that windy start.

This morning 20-30cm of fresh snowfall across the mountain with snow still falling. Great news.

The winds did get more friendly yesterday with Madarao Kogen able to open up around lunchtime.

Lots of gas-like cloud earlier on this morning but in the last hour or so they clouds have been dispersing and there's some lovely blue skies over Madarao.

It's a good cold morning in Madarao.

10-15cm of fresh snow is being reported by Madarao this morning and the day has started with light snow continuing to fall though that isn't expected to continue for long. Clearing up is the more likely.

There is another 15cm of fresh snow here in Madarao and things are starting to look much improved.

A lovely morning with a sea of clouds in the valley below us, some blue skies above us,....and 20+cm of fresh snow on the ground.
