The early morning snow yesterday didn't really amount to much.

Well, after all that beautiful snow yesterday morning, we actually got some sunshine in the afternoon with good visibility.

I have excellent news. We have received a lot of snow overnight.

We have got some fresh snow. It's a modest amount, indeed, but we'll take it and hope that forests are right when they tell us to expect more today and particularly tonight.

Not much further snow to report since my report was posted yesterday morning, and this morning the sun is out with blue skies above us.

A very welcome layer of fresh snow this morning (after some less pleasing precipitation before it yesterday).

I am happy to report fresh snow on this first day of 2024. Madarao is reporting 20cm, I'm not seeing that much.

A big contrast with the sun of yesterday, this morning the mountain can't be seen much and visibility is low.

The sun is out early on, shining down on the mountain and casting shadows. Above us it is mostly blue skies.

It's the first day of the season. And what better to celebrate than a decent amount of snowfall.

Some snow last night after a day of (curiously) day of almost clearer weather yesterday. That wasn't quite what we were expecting!

Not a massive amount just yet, but it is snowing and more is due over the next few days. Particularly tonight and tomorrow.

Perhaps we shouldn't always believe forecasts so much... It has to be said, that we were expecting much more.

Tomorrow was supposed to be the opening day for Madarao and Tangram, but unfortunately that isn't happening.
