Good morning from Madarao.
It's the first day of the season. And what better to celebrate than a decent amount of snowfall.
Madarao ski area is reporting 50cm of fresh snowfall, giving it a snow depth of 70cm this morning. My measurement is 52cm, and there is a bit more or less than that in places. Whatever, it's a very good showing that should make a big difference.
The snow has eased off just now, and it even feels like it might be getting a bit brighter. Is that the sun trying to show through?
Anyway, it's great news and now time to start enjoying.
Ski area operations are limited, but I'm guessing there is a good chance that more will be opening up quite quickly.
