After seeing the news of all the snow in Tokyo I think we were just wondering why it was falling in the wrong place!

Well, new snow we have though perhaps not as much as we were thinking.... about 5cm of snowfall fallen since early this morning, but it is continuing to snowing now.

To summarise: it is blinking cold in the morning but will warm up quickly to a fine day. No new snow, but lots of fun in the sun to be had.

A snapping cold morning this morning to start the long weekend, but clear conditions await for those who can brave the first hour or two.

Add another 20cm or so the what we got yesterday, and the resort are saying up to 30cm of new snowfall on the slopes.

No more blue skies this morning and about 20cm of new snow to report. Yey! Feels much more winter like this morning which is what we want.

Today's report will probably read much like yesterdays. No new snow to report in Madarao this morning and about -3C.

0cm of snow to report this morning and very fine clear skies over the mountain early on.

Clouds arrived and left us with about 10cm of new snow - nice and light powdery variety too - though they have moved on again leaving us with generally clear skies in Madarao this morning.

It is another clear morning in Madarao today.

Sometimes you get lost for superlatives. But for the moment 'wow' will do.

And today is even better. 50-60cm of new snowfall being reported by the snow and evidence of such a snowfall at my feet.

The snow started in the middle of the day yesterday and we had about 15cm by evening time, and this morning up to 20-30cm of new snowfall.

Well, no snow to report since yesterday. It's a fairly chilly -2 this morning at base and just a slight wind. Kind of an overcast and cloudy but bright start to the day.
