Another cold morning in Hakuba, currently around -6 degrees in the village and we should keep below zero through the day.

It is colder this morning again.

The snow has started.

Lots of cloud around this morning along with generally poor visibility on higher slopes, and some snow as well.

Some light snow falling this morning and a few cm on the ground with up to 10cm being reported on upper slopes - updates from around the resorts where available below.

Rain yesterday down here in the village I'm afraid, but snow (borderline sleet at times) was falling at higher elevations at times during the day.

A fine day yesterday, warming up in the sun in the afternoon and mostly clear skies; quite a lot of cloud forming around the mountains by the time the lifts closed for the day.

It was cold through the day yesterday with the sun making some extended appearances, and while there was no new cm of snowfall it has kept good conditions due to the continued cold temps.

OK so the snow did ease off yesterday as expected.

Heavy snowfall has continued. But the weather conditions - strong winds, all that snow, and checking for safety - are causing some problems at resorts.

A very good morning from a very snowy Hakuba. This is how we like it!

Snow and more snow yesterday as it fell pretty much throughout the day, leaving us with about 25cm during the day on the mountain, according to Hakuba 47.
