Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 346cm

Posted on Sunday 2nd March 2014 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Some light snow falling this morning and a few cm on the ground with up to 10cm being reported on upper slopes - updates from around the resorts where available below. It is not snowing right now outside my window but there seems to still be a lot of cloud around, but I can see the sun shining through the clouds in some places as well. A high temp of +4C is due in Hakuba this afternoon.

Not a huge amount but good to get a bit of fresh snow, though it will quickly be scraped away I would imagine.

Keep an eye on mid-week though - a decent amount of snow could well be on it's way.
